A pileup is the term used to describe a collision involving multiple vehicles, where one hits the other in sequence. The term is trending due to a recent serious accident on BR-376, in Paraná, which involved a pickup truck, a car and four trucks. This pileup, caused by a truck without brakes, resulted in one death and several injuries. Accidents of this type are often severe, especially on highways, and can be caused by mechanical failures or recklessness.
