A wildfire is a fire that spreads to the surface of the ground, encompassing grass, bushes, or other low vegetation. Currently, the term is in vogue due to several large-scale operations by the fire brigade in Germany, in which numerous emergency services had to be called out to fight wildfires. These fires, such as in Demmin or near Bad Waldsee, required massive resources and sometimes posed a danger to surrounding areas. Such fires often occur during dry periods and can spread quickly, making them particularly challenging to fight.
