The pace of employment generation has appeared weak in the first month of the new VB-G RAM G scheme implemented in place of MNREGA. In July 2026, 7.67 crore person-days of employment would be created under the scheme, which is about 50% less than the 15.33 crore person-days of MNREGA in July last year.
