It was learned on the 18th that SoftBank Group (SBG) is preparing to issue corporate bonds to individual investors. The issuance amount is expected to be 1 trillion yen, making it the largest ever corporate bond issued by a domestic company to individuals. Demand for funds is intensifying in the global race for investment in artificial intelligence (AI), and investors are setting their sights on Japan's ample amount of personal money. This is SBG's third issue of corporate bonds for individuals this year, following in April and June. Conditions such as interest rates will be decided in early September. The maturity period until redemption is expected to be seven years.
