交通事故
[Now Sports] Japanese player Kaoru Mitoma recently injured a female pedestrian while driving, and prosecutors decided not to prosecute him. The incident occurred on the 8th of last month. According to investigators, Kaoru Mitoma ran a red light while driving in Itabashi Ward, Tokyo, and collided with a 48-year-old female pedestrian riding a bicycle. The woman was injured and received treatment for two weeks. The incident temporarily led Mitoma Kaoru to face charges of negligent causing injury to others. After investigation on Friday, the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office stated that, considering both were running red lights at the time and other evidence, they decided not to prosecute Kaoru Mitoma. Kaoru Mitoma was born in Kanagawa Prefecture and currently plays for Premier League club Brighton. He is a key player for the Japan national team. In May this year, he was unable to make the squad for the 2026 World Cup due to a left foot injury.
