Typhoon White Dolphin continues to approach Taiwan. The Central Weather Bureau stated that the typhoon will keep moving west and north. If its path remains unchanged, it will approach Taiwan closest to Taiwan on the 8th, 9th, and 10th, passing through the northern coastal waters of Taiwan. The earliest possible issuance of a maritime typhoon warning in the latter half of the year on Friday the 7th could be issued. Meanwhile, a tropical depression west of the Philippines developed into the 14th mild typhoon of the year, 'Kujira,' at 2 a.m. today (5th). Meteorological expert Wu Derong stated that Typhoon Kujira has turned eastward, and after making landfall on Luzon Island tomorrow, it will weaken and disappear, becoming a 'short-lived typhoon' and merging into Typhoon White Dolphin. The Central Weather Bureau also pointed out this afternoon that the tropical depression originally located near Wake Island developed into a mild typhoon at 2 p.m., designated as Typhoon Chang Hung (No. 15), which will move north-northwest and will not affect Taiwan's weather.
