President Lai Ching-te yesterday announced a universal cash payment of NT$10,000 next year. Although opposition party legislators support returning economic results to the people, they also question the Lai government's "double standards and green energy you can't do" and question where the legal and financial resources are. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wanan sarcastically said that there should be a general distribution of NT$20,000, otherwise as President Lai said before, "If everyone buys groceries, the money will be gone."
