A 19-year-old woman surnamed Zou recently found her baby dead after giving birth at home and cleaning her body. She wrapped it in a towel and left it at home for nearly a week. She did not seek help from her family until the baby's body smelled bad. Accompanied by her mother and sister, Zou took the baby's body to the Wanfang Police Station of the Wenshan Branch No. 1 in Taipei City yesterday for help. The prosecutor intervened and stored the baby's body in ice. An examination is expected to clarify the cause of death today.
