However, Liu Chao-hao recently issued a statement announcing he will not participate in the 2026 Taitung County Magistrate election, reportedly coordinated by former President Tsai Ing-wen, hoping to unite the Green camp's forces. Today (the 4th), Tsai Ing-wen personally visited Chen Ying's campaign office, accompanied by Liu Chao-hao, confirming that Tsai Ing-wen will serve as campaign chairperson and Liu Chao-hao as campaign secretary-general.
